Team Coleman 2010
About the Event

The US Curling Men's and Women's National Championships will
be held in Kalamazoo, Michigan March 6-13, 2010. 10 men's
and 10 women's teams will compete for the opportunity to
represent the US at the World Championships. Only one team
for each can win.
29 men's teams and 10 women's teams have signed up to
playdown for this event. Since there are only 10 women's teams,
all of them go directly to Nationals. The men have a longer road.
They'll go through two rounds of playoffs - Qualifiers and
Challenge round (a.k.a. "Second Chance") - to narrow it down to
9 teams plus the returning champions, the Olympic team.
The National Championships begin with a 9 game round robin -
every team plays every other team. The top four move on to the
playoffs. A "page playoff" system is used, which gives an edge to
the top two teams from the round robin, ensuring that both finish
in the medals.
Scores for all games will be updated live on the web and the
finals may be broadcast on the web or television. For complete
information and to follow along, visit the official event website.
